Formed in 1903, The Catholic Daughters of the Americas is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas. They donate to charities, administer scholarship programs and strive “to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.” The CDA motto is “Unity and Charity.” Today, there are more than 1,150 courts (local chapters) in 45 states, and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, Kenya, and Peru. Every new chapter of CDA is called a "court,” and every court gets their name from their own assigned patron saint. SMdP’s court was named after St. Maria Goretti, the patron saint of purity and forgiveness.
Any woman aged 18 years and older who is actively practicing her Catholic faith is more than welcome to join our organization!
