Marriage is a Sacrament of the Church, that is, a place in which you can encounter the person of Jesus alive and active within your relationship. As such, we hope that you recognize your wedding as a profoundly spiritual experience - for you, and for the rest of the Church who will see a reflection of the immeasurable love of Jesus Christ in your love for each other.
Either one or both of you must be a baptized Catholic, who identify as parishioners by living within Parish Boundaries (in Denton County, as set by the Diocese of Fort Worth) and must be an active, practicing Catholic and a parishioner of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. If residences of both Bride AND Groom are outside of Denton County, please contact Deacon Jack Gardner at deaconjack@saintmartindp.org prior to completing the below form. Marriage preparation and marriage validation preparation are very closely tied to the Diocese where you live, not the Diocese where you are registered.

When you are ready to begin, please complete this intake form, and you will be contacted by Deacon Jack Gardner to schedule a time to meet. Prior to meeting, you will be sent an email with a questionnaire from Fully Engaged to complete.
Wedding Dates will not be set until after you meet with the Deacon. Please do not book any reception venues until after the date has been set at the Church.
Marriage preparation generally takes 9-12 months, or longer if an annulment for a previous marriage is being sought. Prior to beginning marriage preparation, any annulments must be finalized. We cannot begin marriage prepration if annulments have not been finalized, even if they were submitted to the tribunal.
We look forward to celebrating with you both as you initiate this new life journey!
During each cycle a woman experiences times of fertility and infertility accompanied by specific signs. Natural Family Planning is the practice of observing and charting these fertility signs to determine accurately when a woman is fertile and when she is infertile.
NFP can be used in ANY cycle regardless of the woman's circumstances, including regular cycles, irregular cycles, breastfeeding, pre-menopause, or low fertility. Natural Family Planning is up to 99% effective in spacing births.
In the Diocese of Fort Worth, NFP classes are required in marriage preparation.
