This Fall, journey with the Maccabees and embrace your baptismal calling to lead those entrusted to your care.
What does it look life to live different when it isn't Exodus 90 or Lent or St. Michael's Lent? The Church gives us seasons of penance, seasons of celebration, and seasons of everyday life. As Exodus Men, we know what it means to observe a penitential season, but sometimes we might be left scratching our heads at other times of the year.
"Battles in Autumn” is a 65 day spiritual exercise to keep moving forward in the last bit of Ordinary Time between St Michael's Lent and Advent. You will NOT be asked to take cold showers everday or live a life of intense asceticism, just asked to take up a little bit of the Exodus Lifestyle each day and keep moving forward. The Christian life is something we're called to live every day, not just for 40 or 90 days at a time. Keep up the good work Christ has begun in you and keep growing in freedom and formation. Every day.
Each day in the Battles in Autumn, you'll have various topics of faith formation. We'll meditate on the theological virtues (faith, hope, and love), reflect on letting go of unhealthy attachments, observe All Souls Day with solemnity, and conclude by learning how to find Christ in great literature. We'll also thoughtfully prepare for Advent in November and be ready to enter into the joy of that season when it begins.
